The district titles of the 1st division of Porto's Basketball Association were played, in the U16 age group (m/f)
The district titles of the 1st division of the Basketball Association of Porto, in the under16 age group (m/f), were played between January 26 and 29 in Matosinhos, with around 150 athletes and a large audience in the stands of the Sports and Congress Center of Matosinhos.
The SC Vasco da Gama team became the men's district champion by beating FC Porto 62-55. In the women's category, the title was won by CPN, after beating CLIP by 60-52.
Highlight for the excellent participation of local clubs, the women's teams of Guifões Sport Clube and Grupo Desportivo de Basquete de Leça, with the latter ensuring the 3rd place that gave them access to the National Championship.
In the ceremony of delivery of the trophies were yesterday, Sunday, among other individuals, Vasco Pinho, Councillor for Sports of the Municipality, and Henrique Calisto, Administrator of the Municipal Company of Matosinhos.
The organization was under the responsibility of the Basketball Association of Porto, with the support of Matosinhos Sport and the Matosinhos City Hall.
