After the protest of the Matosinhos municipal deputy, Carlos Alberto, now independent (also founder of Associação Viver Matosinhos), the structure placed on the sandy beach of Matosinhos by APDL/Porto de Leixões was removed
The contestation took place at the end of last year, with the association Viver Matosinhos, and the municipal deputy Carlos Alberto took the issue to the Municipal Assembly of Matosinhos, with the presentation of a recommendation for the City Council to intercede with the port administration for the removal of the 'billboard'. A recommendation that was approved unanimously.
The Associação Viver Matosinhos now welcomes the removal of the billboard stating in its social network: "In an urban context it is essential to regulate the visual pressure imposed by billboards. (...) the presence [of this billboard] is an aggression to the landscape and shows a total disregard for the users of that space."
