Ana Bacalhau at Matosinhos

Artist presented his latest record work

13 years later, Ana Bacalhau returned to Matosinhos, this time with her solo musical project.

The artist, with influences from fado, traditional music, jazz and blues, became known to the general public as the lead singer of the project “Deolinda”, founded in 2007.

Ten years later, the group took a break from its activity, and Ana Bacalhau continued her solo career. In 2017, she released her debut album “Nome Proprio”, with songs like “A Bacalhau”, “Leve como uma pena”, “Vida Nova” or “Ciúme”.

Between January and October 2020, in the midst of a pandemic, Ana Bacalhau worked on her second album “Além da Curta Imaginação”. Released in October 2021, the album reveals the feelings that the artist experienced during confinement, assuming herself as a work that intends to create new worlds. Themes like “I am as I am”, “Memory”, “What interests me” or “I still love you” are part of “Além da Curta Imaginação”, which Ana Bacalhau presented yesterday on stage at the Municipal Theater of Matosinhos Constantino Nery.
