Paula Cabaço and Eduardo Feio were representing the Association of Ports of Portugal at a ceremony where Paula Sengo was elected President of the Technical Committee for Sustainable Development of ESPO - European Sea Ports Organisation.
The Association of Ports of Portugal (APP) attended the General Assembly of the European Sea Ports Organisation (ESPO) on 6 November in Brussels.
Representing APP were Paula Cabaço, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ports of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, and Eduardo Feio, Chairman of the Boards of Directors of the Port of Aveiro and the Port of Figueira da Foz, members of APP's board.
ESPO's General Assembly elected the Chairs of the Association's Technical Committees, with Paula Sengo, from the Port of Lisbon, being elected to chair the Technical Committee for Sustainable Development.
ESPO's Annual Conference, a benchmark event for the European port sector, is fundamental to the sector's debate, where topics such as the energy transition and the sustainability of ports are addressed.
The presence of the Association of Ports of Portugal at the ESPO General Assembly demonstrates the Portuguese port sector's commitment to innovation, sustainability and international collaboration.
