The road circulation at the Ermesinde junction, in Valongo, will remain interrupted on the A4 highway, during the night and early morning between this Wednesday and Saturday, Brisa announced in a press release.
The impediments result, according to Brisa Concessão Rodoviária, the works of reformulation of the node of Ermesinde and toll plazas that dictated that last night and early morning traffic has been interrupted at the exit of the direction Vila Real / Ermesinde.
Thus, between 21:00 on Wednesday and 07:00 on Thursday, the circulation will be interrupted for those traveling in the direction Amarante / Porto (Vila Real / Ermesinde), a scenario that repeats itself from 21:00 Thursday and 06:00 Friday in the direction Porto / Amarante (Matosinhos / Ermesinde), describes the press release.
Brisa also points out that, as part of the same interventions, the entrance to the A4 from Estrada Nacional (EN) 208, in Ermesinde, will also be temporarily closed between 21:30 on Friday and 06:00 on Saturday for those entering the A4 in Ermesinde and wishing to travel in the direction of Vila Real.
The company adds that "traffic, in appropriate locations, will be diverted by alternative routes duly signaled.
Since July 27, "works for the Reformulation of the Ermesinde Node and Toll Plaza" have been taking place at the site that will "develop work necessary to change the beaconing and safety devices," the concessionaire announced at the time.
The A4 widening works in the Águas Santas - Ermesinde sub-section, including the construction of a new tunnel, were started in 2015, were stopped and resumed in 2020.
