The Marina of Porto Atlântico de Leixões welcomes this Thursday the Caravela Vera Cruz. In question is one of the “most important vessels of the Portuguese navigations of the 15th and 16th centuries” and will be able to be visited, free of charge, until July 14th.
“For eight days, the most curious will be able to discover what is the replica of the most important Portuguese ship of the 15th century and that arrives in the waters of the North brought by APORVELA – Associação Portuguesa de Treino de Vela”, advances the municipal company Ágora.
Visits to Caravela Vera Cruz start this Thursday, between 10 am and 1 pm and 2 pm and 8 pm. On the weekend, on the 8th, 9th and 10th of July, the opening hours are extended until 22:00, with a break for lunch, and on the following days it returns to the usual period.
Those interested in visiting the caravel, in groups, must request a prior appointment via email geral@aporvela.pt.
