The vessel can be visited at Marina Porto Atlântico Leixões from July 7th to 14th
The Caravela Vera Cruz, an exact replica of the most important vessels of the Portuguese navigations of the 15th and 16th centuries, is once again on its way to Matosinhos, where it will be moored from July 7th to 14th at the Porto Atlântico Marina in Leixões.
Built in 2000, as part of the commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the Discovery of Brazil, Caravela Vera Cruz had already participated in June in the first inaugural cruise of the Maritime Way to Santiago, which departed from Matosinhos.
This new initiative by Clube Vela Atlântico, which aims to promote the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the first circumnavigation of the planet, honoring its main worker, Fernão de Magalhães, an idea originating from the Confraria Europa da Vela and which has the support of the municipalities of Atlantic Front: Matosinhos, Porto and Gaia, is a unique opportunity for all those who want to know better the navigation techniques of the Portuguese, the commercial and exploration routes or life on board the caravels and delight the most to the less young.
Thus, from the 7th to the 14th of July, the vessel, brought by APORVELA - Associação Portuguesa de Treino de Vela, will be open for visits that are free and available to everyone.

July 8, 9, 10 from 10 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 10 pm
