After nine years, Comic Con Portugal will return to Matosinhos between 26 and 29 March 2026, at Exponor.
Panels, exhibitions, cosplay competitions and exclusive launches are some of the promises of Comic Con Portugal for 2026, which will have tickets ‘available soon’. In a statement, the organisation promises news for next year, pointing out that 2026 will be the big year for the next edition.
‘From children to adults, fans of iconic sagas such as ‘Star Wars’ or ‘The Lord of the Rings’ will be invited to take part in an adventure that travels through various regions of the country, promoting involvement and inspiration,’ the organisation announced about the next edition of the event.
In 2025 there will already be ‘new projects that promise to connect and unite generations’, and these initiatives will be announced soon.
Comic Con made its debut in Portugal in 2014, in Matosinhos, where it continued until 2018, when it moved to the Passeio Marítimo de Algés and then to the Altice Arena due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In the last edition, the fair covered a total of 200,000 square metres, with thousands of visitors.
