Computer failure affects health centers in the North such as Vila do Conde, Matosinhos and Maia

Health centers in the northern region were without computer systems since 08:00 this Thursday, January 12, a situation that "is causing constraints, prioritizing the most serious situations," confirmed to the Lusa source of the Regional Health Administration (ARS)

According to the source, at issue is a "technical failure" in a server ARS-Norte that affects "several health centers".

"We have all the ARS-North IT staff working to solve this problem as soon as possible. We hope that everything will be resolved by late morning," said the same source.

ASR-Norte admits that "the situation is causing constraints," but assured that "urgent situations are being prioritized."

"It is true that this failure affects the entire provision of primary health care in the North. But the most complicated situations are being attended to," he added.

This morning, Lusa received reports of constraints on access to the history of patients, as well as the impossibility of registration or request for diagnostic tests.

The reports refer to problems in health centers in Porto, Maia, Valongo, Gondomar, Amarante, Póvoa do Varzim, Vila Nova de Famalicão (Braga), among others.
