From Leça da Palmeira to China by bicycle

Alexandre Pascoal left Leça da Palmeira in January and after 240 days has travelled through 13 countries and is now in Pakistan. NM will be following the journey, which is due to end on 22 December in China.

Alexandre Pascoal is 50 years old, and on 13 January he decided to set off from Leça da Palmeira towards China on an epic 345-day cycling trip.

Since then, Alexandre has travelled through 13 countries: Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Greece, Turkey, Iran and Pakistan.

He is counting down the days and is scheduled to finish and return home on 22 December, in China. At the time of writing, with 105 days to go, he is in Babusar, in north-east Pakistan.

The cyclist documents his journey daily on a blog, where he recounts his adventures and experiences, where Alexandre is ‘focused on exploring, learning and sharing stories of man's relationship with nature’.

NM will follow the route of the cyclist from Leça da Palmeira every week on his journey through Europe and Asia.
