The development was once the ‘A Varina’ canning factory, will have 50 flats and will be home to IMP's pathological analysis laboratory, which will create more than 100 jobs.
The Casais Group and developer MPSP welcomed the Mayor of Matosinhos, Luísa Salgueiro, yesterday, Tuesday 29 October, for a visit to Fábrica 390.
Fábrica 390 is a multi-purpose development with 50 flats of various types, where the IMP Diagnostics laboratory of the IMP Group will be based. Located in a privileged area of the city, it has an architectural project by ODDA, a mural by the artist Vhills, and construction by Casais Construction.
This development, located at the crossroads of Avenida Serpa Pinto, Rua Heróis de França and Rua Primeiro de Dezembro, was once the century-old ‘A Varina’ canning factory, but has now been transformed into a residential and commercial development. Given its location, it also benefits from a strong connection to the community.
The IMP Group's laboratory will occupy an area of around 3000m2, in a multi-value growth project that will provide more than 100 highly qualified jobs for the city. IMP Diagnostics is the largest national group of reference laboratories in Pathological Anatomy and Molecular Pathology.
The visit by the Mayor of Matosinhos, Luísa Salgueiro, accompanied by José Mário Fernandes, from the Casais Group, allowed the mayor to get to know this development and its architectural features and contribute to the development of the city.
‘We pride ourselves on presenting high quality housing complexes that house a range of services that are beneficial to the whole community. The installation of the IMP laboratory at Fábrica 390 is a positive milestone for the entire region,’ says António Carlos Rodrigues, CEO of the Casais Group.
