INDAQUA Matosinhos once again stood out in the distinctions awarded by the regulator of its sector, being the only management entity in the country to receive the Award of Excellence for public water supply service. The company also won two Service Quality Seals
The Expo Water Conference is, annually, the stage chosen by the Water and Waste Services Regulatory Authority (ERSAR) for the delivery of the distinctions that reward the work of the water, sanitation and waste management entities that stood out the most during that year.
The 2022 edition brought another historic moment for INDAQUA Matosinhos: the managing entity was the only one, at a national level, to receive an Excellence Award for the "public water supply service (to the consumer)", repeating the award achieved in 2018 and 2020. In 2021, an Excellence Award was also delivered in Matosinhos, but for the quality of the "urban wastewater sanitation service (to the consumer)".
In addition to this coveted distinction, the INDAQUA Matosinhos also received from the regulator, in 2022, two more Service Quality Seals - one for Public Water Supply and the other for Urban Wastewater Sanitation.
"INDAQUA Matosinhos has been consecutively recognised by these Awards, which are the highest distinction in the water and sanitation sector. It is with great pride that we see such results, as they materialise the uninterrupted work that all our team carries out not only to comply with the inherent requirements of water distribution or sanitation management, but, more than that, to build a path of continuous improvement in the service provided", says Tiago Fragata, General Director of INDAQUA Matosinhos.
In addition to the Excellence Award achieved in Matosinhos, INDAQUA also received, at the concession in Santa Maria da Feira, another award allusive to the "urban wastewater sanitation service (to the consumer)".
To these two awards, INDAQUA has also added a total of 14 Quality Seals, which have recognised the work developed in the nine municipalities where it operates, serving more than 750 thousand people. This way, the Group became, as in the last three years, the most distinguished entity at a national level.
For the attribution of these seals, according to ERSAR, a quantitative assessment is made based on indicators of the "several regulation cycles". A "qualitative assessment is also carried out, taking into account aspects related to governance, compliance with legal obligations, conduct before the regulator and significant occurrences with an impact on service provision".
