From IRS to Cryptoactive, several novelties were announced in the recent presentation of the State Budget for 2023. It is in this context that ISAG - European Business School welcomes Carlos Costa, former governor of the Bank of Portugal, and Fred Antunes, CEO of Real Fevr, to mark the opening of the academic year and discuss the future of the economy, entrepreneurship and Portuguese society
The update of the IRS brackets and the regulation of cryptoactive activities were just two of the novelties presented to the country in the State Budget for 2023. Today, October 20, from 18h00, these and other challenges for the economy, for entrepreneurs and for society in general will be under discussion at ISAG - European Business School, during the Inaugural Class that marks the official beginning of the academic year 2022/2023 and that brings to the institution two experts - from Banking to Cryptoeconomics.
Carlos Costa is an economist and was the 17th Governor of the Bank of Portugal, from 2010 to 2020. As a specialist in Banking, his intervention will focus on the issue of the constraints that determine the influence of the educational system, and in particular of business schools, on the economic development of a given country.
Fred Antunes is the current CEO of Real Fevr and former President of the Portuguese Association of Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies. After having coordinated, at ISAG, the first Portuguese Postgraduate Course in Web 3.0, Blockchain and Cryptoeconomics, already in its 2nd edition, the expert returns to the institution to present the work they develop at Real Fevr and talk about what the future may hold in this new digital universe where businesses from the most diverse quadrants of global society are made and managed.
"This Inaugural Class marks the beginning of a new academic year and a relevant moment for sharing and reflection with our students. We are honoured to receive two big names who are sensitive to the doubts and expectations on which the current market is based, including those of the youngest. It is this opportunity for clarification, learning and inspiration that we want to ensure, reflecting the value that, as an institution of Higher Education, we always seek to provide to students who, in the near future, will also be able to inspire other professionals, "explains Elvira Vieira, Director General of ISAG - European Business School.
The ceremony takes place in the Consuelo Viera da Costa Auditorium at ISAG - European Business School, starting at 18h00.
The event is open to the media, and we would be grateful if you could confirm your attendance by emailing joanamonteiro@silver-lining.pt
