In the list of the 50 largest cities, the municipality is in 1st place
The Municipality of Matosinhos was distinguished this year with the 2nd prize in the ranking of the most transparent municipalities.
The awards ceremony took place last Monday at the Opengov Leadership Summit - Congress on Transparency", which was held in Braga and brought together some of the leading experts in this area.
The assessments were made by the international platform DYNTRA, which evaluates the level of Municipal Transparency through 139 indicators covering 5 dimensions of governance and municipal management, such as Municipal Organization, Citizen Participation and Collaboration, Economic-Financial Transparency, Public Procurement and Urban Planning and Public Works.
The Municipality of Matosinhos obtained 77.7%, complying with 108 of the 139 indicators available. In 1st place was the Municipality of Murça, with 79.14% and 110 indicators achieved.
In December last year, the Municipality of Matosinhos, it should be remembered, was in 14th place in the national ranking.
In the ranking of the 50 largest cities (with more than 40 thousand inhabitants), Matosinhos is in first place, ahead of municipalities such as Braga, Leiria, Vila Nova de Famalicão and Valongo.
For the Municipality of Matosinhos, the prize now awarded is a recognition of the collaborative work between municipal services and elected bodies.
