The Carlos Moreira da Silva Advanced Digestive Endoscopy Centre and the Gastroenterology Service were in the spotlight with awards and grants.
The Carlos Moreira da Silva Advanced Digestive Endoscopy Centre and the Gastroenterology Service of the Matosinhos Local Health Unit were awarded prizes at the National Digestive Week 2024, which took place in the Algarve.
The doctor João Pedro Correia was awarded a one-year Research Scholarship and an Internship Scholarship abroad by SPED - the Portuguese Society of Digestive Endoscopy. He also came second in the oral communication prize for digestive endoscopy and in the presentation of an endoscopic video.
The ULS was also honoured through gastroentologist Daniela Falcão, who was awarded the 3-year Research Scholarship by the Portuguese Society of Digestive Endoscopy.
