Matosinhos Sport, Municipal Sports Company, is known for promoting sports and encouraging all citizens to attend the facilities and the various modalities made available by it
In accordance with these initiatives by the municipal company, learn about the vast program of activities that the 7 municipal swimming pools make available to their visitors during the months of May and June.
On May 14, at the municipal swimming pool of Matosinhos, the 'Aqua Spartan Games' took place, representing the challenge in and out of water. The “strong Spartans” competed according to the different challenges, with surprises prepared by the pool's technical team.
Male and female participants could compete together, but with different final classification.
Participants performed a set of 3 tests. In each test there were 3 challenges followed in the order presented. At the beginning of each test, the organization presented the details of each exercise and its sequence. All the participants of the competition performed the test 1, after a break there was the test 2, and finally the test 3 took place. At the end of each test and according to the final time, the points were obtained according to which the participants were classified for awards and diplomas.
Among the challenges that the participants passed were rope pull, wall ups, parachute, shoulder press, burpees and surfboard.
The prizes for the first classified and participation certificate for all participants were awarded at the end of the event. Henrique Calisto, executive director of Matosinhos Sport, participated in the award ceremony.
But this is not the only event in May, as residents take to the pedal in all municipal swimming pools in the county. Still in progress, and until the middle of next June, there is “Volta a Matosinhos in Hidrobike” that helps to understand that pedaling underwater is an excellent physical exercise and a lot of fun!
