Municipal Rental Support Programme integrates 18 new families, over the course of a year
MatosinhosHabit started the month of December with the delivery of 18 cheques, under the scope of the Municipal Rental Support Programme (PMAA), to 18 families, thus integrating them in the rent support programme.
The average monthly value of the support given to each family is 109.25€.
Manuela Álvares, Chairman of the Board of Directors of MatosinhosHabit, explains that PMAA "started in 2009 with the mission of supporting citizens who show difficulty in paying their private rents, thus motivating their reorganization and socioeconomic empowerment".
Over 13 years, MatosinhosHabit and the Matosinhos City Hall have helped thousands of families. The PMAA has, at this moment, 750 active supports, which translate into a monthly amount of 81,936.89€, financed by the Matosinhos City Hall.
