Creating Guardians of the Planet is the goal!

Learning to make environmentally sound choices, knowing how to make the most of natural resources, reusing, reusing and recycling will be some of the challenges posed to the little ones in this fun and dynamic experimental exhibition. In their mission to save the Planet, ecokids will be invited to carry out experiments, overcome challenges and conquer new learnings that will make them true guardians of the Earth.

Experimental activities

From an early age, children begin to build their vision for the future. Hence the importance of raising awareness and preparing them for an ecologically healthy world, through a constructive and practical approach.

In this way, the SOS PLANETA space presents the negative effects that come from abusive human behavior towards nature, but also the measures to be adopted to preserve the health of the Planet. The space is thus divided into two zones:

Green Zone (ecologically sustainable), where the following activities will take place:

· Old Turns New (Paper Recycling);

· Bioplastic (Ecological plastic);

· Separation Game (Garbage Separation).

Gray Zone (area polluted by gases and debris released by industries and oil tankers), where the following activities will take place:

· Black Tide (Oil Spill)

· Acid Rain (Atmospheric Pollution);

· Plastic Sea (Ocean Pollution).

The MAR Shopping Matosinhos initiative is aimed at children aged between 4 and 12 years and is free of charge.

It will take place in the Atrium (floor 0) between 14:00 and 20:00 from Monday to Friday. On Saturday, Sunday and holidays, it will be open from 11 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 8 pm.
