Porto Business School bets on attracting and retaining Portuguese and Portuguese-speaking talent

The international recognition of the quality of Portuguese talent, as well as the difficulty experienced in Portugal to retain that same talent, are no longer new. Qualified young people are looking for better conditions abroad and it is increasingly difficult to attract them to settle in our territory

In this sense, Porto Business School launched an initiative that aims to attract Portuguese and Portuguese-descendant talent. “A Portuguese Business School, for sure” is the motto of the campaign that offers special conditions to Portuguese or Portuguese descendants residing abroad who want to attend an MBA.

“Today more than ever, our business schools are prepared to give students flexible options. Either through remote and flexible teaching, or through face-to-face teaching with international classes. We believe that it is our obligation to create conditions so that our emigrants and their children can maintain a close relationship with their country of origin”, explains Patrícia Teixeira Lopes, Associate Dean at Porto Business School.

Executive training is an unavoidable tool when it comes to networking and Porto Business School believes that motivating the Portuguese diaspora community to invest in their training is a clear way of attracting Portuguese and Portuguese-descendant talent to enjoy an incomparable network of opportunities. This is a way not only to bring the diaspora closer to Portugal, but also the members of this community to each other, regardless of the countries in which they are.

“We are a triple-accredited school and are among the 50 best business schools in the world, according to the Financial Times Ranking. We have been recognized internationally for the quality of our executive training, so studying at Porto Business School is undoubtedly a beneficial option for anyone looking for excellent training”, recalls Patrícia Teixeira Lopes. And she adds: “We believe that this initiative will promote extremely fruitful ties between the diaspora community and the Portuguese business fabric.”

This initiative applies to the International MBA and the Digital MBA and will give access to an exclusive 20% discount on the investment. These programs promote the development or deepening of knowledge and skills in management, leadership, communication, digital transformation, business models and sustainability.

The next editions will start in October 2022.
