The 15th edition of the QSP Summit registered the highest turnout ever and generated a direct economic impact in the region of around 8.4 million euros
The initiative brought together, for two days at Exponor, “three thousand people to debate and learn about practices and trends in the areas of management and marketing”.
The Porto Chamber news portal reports that the figures are from QSP, the marketing consultancy that organizes the summit, based on a study carried out with almost 1/3 of the participants, from 18 different countries.
“If we add the media impact, estimated at 3.3 million euros, then the total impact of the event exceeds 11.7 million”, says, in a statement, the director general of QSP, Rui Ribeiro. “The dynamism that the initiative brings to companies and its ability to show new tools, perspectives and solutions to leaders is unavoidable”, he adds.
The analysis carried out by the consultant was based on the consumption characteristics of the participants, estimating expenditure on accommodation, restaurants, leisure activities and transport.
The results reveal that, on average, “each lecturer stays for three days and spends around 25 euros per meal outside the venue of the event”, adds the organization, not forgetting to include the “night outings that mean an average expense of 18 euros”.
Key speakers include QSP Summit Fareed Zakaria (CNN), Sally Eaves (Global Cyber Trust), Tom Raftery (SAP), Jane Thomason (Kasei Holdings), Delia García (L'Oréal) or Rory Sutherland (Ogilvy UK) .
The Porto municipality was present with an exhibition stand, and the councilor for Economy, Employment and Entrepreneurship, Ricardo Valente, also participated in a panel on investment at Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport.
