This Sunday, Spain won the European under-20 handball champion by beating Portugal by 35-37 in the final played at the Centro de Desportos e Congressos de Matosinhos
In a final discussed until the last second, the Spaniards became champions of Europe in under-20 after beating Portugal by 35-37.
Portugal reached the break leading by 16-15 and in the second half had, more than once, a four-goal advantage, but ended up giving in in the last 10 minutes of the match and allowed the opponent's reaction.
It was the third time that Spain won this trophy, with Portugal falling back in the final, something that had already happened in 2010.
