Academy of Grupo Desportivo Aldeia Nova is awarded
It is already the third consecutive year that Grupo Desportivo has achieved this distinction.
The Grupo Desportivo Aldeia Nova Academy was once again awarded as a three-star Certified Training Entity by the Portuguese Football Federation.
Founded on February 23, 1972, it had the Public Deed on July 14, 1981. The first headquarters of this club, in 1972, was in "tasco da D.Ana", still located in Aldeia Nova lane. The creation of the club was linked to a movement of about a dozen people, including José Coutinho, Jorge Martins, Lina de Castro. Also part of this initial group was the famous "man of the bass drum" Mr. Almeida and Zé da Celeste - first president of the club.
They were later joined, after the group was established, Mr. Alberto Caldas and João Matos - the latter being the No. 1 partner of Grupo Desportivo Aldeia Nova.
One of the most important points of the club appeared around 1974, with the beginning of the works of the famous Campo das Salinas. During its construction, the club's headquarters was no longer in the old "tasquinho", moving to the garage of Mr. Alberto Caldas, between 1975 and 1978. From that date, the head office was established where it still is today, on Rua José Vilaça, in Perafita.
Initially dedicated to popular football, its playing field, Campo das Salinas, was the first field of Futebol Clube de Perafita.
In 2016, they created the Football Training Academy in our Aldeia Nova Sports Complex, the state-of-the-art synthetic grass 5-a-side football field, where children have fun and gain very important foundations, not only in the sports component but also in the educational.
