The Casa da Juventude de Matosinhos welcomes today, June 21, at 5:30 pm, the “Sunset Talks” about video games, a way to boost and demystify some questions about the world of video games.
The initiative is part of the “Ativa'mente” project, a mental health program carried out by the City Council since March of this year, which aims to increase mental health literacy, reduce the stigma associated with mental health and promoting the adoption of healthy lifestyles.
Throughout this year, under this program, the months are dedicated to various themes, such as sleep, anxiety, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, obsessive compulsive disorder, burn-out, schizophrenia and lifestyles. healthy life.
The month of May was dedicated to Anxiety. The month of June will give voice to Addictive Behaviors. To raise awareness of this theme, coinciding with the International Day of the Fight Against Drugs, tomorrow we will hold a Sunset / gathering alluding to Gaming, in the gardens of Casa da Juventude de Matosinhos. An event open to the community in general, with invitations to various youth associations in the Municipality.
The initiative will be attended by Carlos Mouta, Vice-President of Matosinhos City Council, Gizela Cardoso, Psychologist at the Center for Integrated Responses, Andreia Silva, from Projeto Metas da ADEIMA, and Rui Play, Youtuber and Streamer.
The event will also feature the musical participation of Inês Monteiro and the offer of a healthy snack.
It is recalled that the Health Profile of Matosinhos and the Municipal Health Plan of Matosinhos (2019-2021), developed in partnership with the Local Health Unit of Matosinhos (ULSM), determined mental health as a priority area of intervention, pointing to prevention as the main action strategy.
