The biggest DIY event is back at LEROY MERLIN

Among the themes are workshops that range from how to make your own seeds at home, transplant and fertilize plants, create a drip irrigation system, or build an urban vegetable garden, among others

With the arrival of spring, LEROY MERLIN organizes Hands on the Garden, an event dedicated to the garden, to inspire all those who want to give a new life to their outdoor spaces. In addition to the face-to-face workshops in LEROY MERLIN stores from March 25 to 26, more tips and digital workshops will be shared throughout the week on social networks – Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and Youtube - of the brand. For the workshops in physical stores, registration is open until March 24, through the website, and are free for customers Cartão da Casa.

From north to south, LEROY MERLIN stores will receive experts over two days, in an agenda created to think about the themes most sought after by customers within the DIY theme, with workshops ranging from how to take care of plants, create a drip irrigation system or a metal fence, build an urban vegetable garden, deal with wood and metal garden, apply artificial grass, make a family garden or treat the pool. You can consult the schedules and the store map at leroymerlin.pt.

"It was with our customers and all DIY and DIY lovers in mind that we rethought the LEROY MERLIN workshops, tips and theme weeks. "Hands on" now aggregates all the pedagogies of the brand, from workshops, product demonstrations to DIY tips. This rebranding reinforces the brand's positioning and know-how in the area of DIY as well as its pedagogical aspect. We will continue to inspire our communities, to teach and encourage our customers to put their hands to work to bring their DIY projects to life," says Ana André, Director of Data-Driven Marketing at LEROY MERLIN Portugal.

On the brand's Instagram, throughout the week, influencers will share their tips through the format of reels, stories and posts. While Susana Caseiro explains which species are best to sow in March and how to create a vertical garden with herbs, Mariana Gemelgo teaches how to decorate a small balcony, Tânia Pinto teaches how to make an outdoor sofa, Maria Prata Rodrigues presents ideas for preparing a balcony for the arrival of spring, Catarina Loureiro help with garden maintenance for the spring season. Together, in a livestreaming on YouTube, Diogo Duarte e Isabel Silva teach how to transplant and fertilize the house plants.

The "Mãos à Obra no Jardim" (Hands on Garden) bets on a programming with differentiated content and formats for the physical and digital channels. We are aware of the changes in consumer behavior and, for this very reason, we bet on the hybrid format with the creation of content with expert influencers, with strong know how in DIY and garden," says Ana André.
