With 1,300 copies planned for a first edition, 1,000 books will be donated to Ukrainian children and the remaining 300 will be acquired by the Q8 group to develop an internal action with its employees. To the amount raised from its employees, the company will add an identical amount and the total will be donated to a refugee association.
“Inspired by the need to pass on feelings and affection, this is the way I found to hug children who have fled the war”, says the author, Mariana Jones. “I imagined this book as an instrument that could try to help Ukrainian mothers on the run to put their children to sleep, and that would help them build a future that they hope can be quickly lived in their country of origin, of tranquility and peace”, he concludes. .
Delta Cafés, the company that the author is part of, supported its collaborator from the first moment, guaranteeing a future printing of this book, so that no Ukrainian refugee child in Portugal is excluded from this “lap”.
