The Matosinhos Urban Race cycling event, which takes place on Saturday 17th August, will cause traffic changes and parking bans from 15th August.
The Matosinhos Urban Race will take to the streets of the city next Saturday, starting at 8pm, from the Matosinhos Town Hall.
The mountain bike race will take place on an urban route, in the areas around the Town Hall, Jardim Basílio Teles, Igreja do Senhor de Matosinhos and Parque 25 de Abril, as well as on Alfredo Cunha street and Avenue D. Afonso Henriques, which will cause some changes to road traffic.
Parking will be prohibited until 11.59pm on 17 August in Dom Afonso Henriques Park (from 7am on 15/8), on Dom Afonso Henriques Avenue (from 7am on 16 August, in the direction of Câmara/Praça Guilhermina Suggia) and on Alfredo Cunha and 1º de Maio Streets (from 7am on 17 August).
On Saturday, the day of the race, traffic and access to garages will be restricted between 3pm and 11.59pm (17 August).
Also on Saturday, there will be a traffic stop between 5pm and 11.59pm (17th).
The organisers and authorities will be on site to assist and provide the necessary information on alternative routes.
