The life and work of Florbela Espanca will be in focus, on Tuesday and Wednesday, in Matosinhos
The tribute is from the Inatel Foundation, in the context of World Poetry Day, and has the collaboration of the City Council.
On Tuesday, at 6 pm, the Florbela Espanca Municipal Library hosts the "Celebrating Florbela" conversation. This is an "informal conversation about the life and work of the poet, moderated by Tito Couto and with the participation of Cláudia Pazos-Alonso, Matteo Pupillo and Eliana Barros.
On Wednesday, at 9 PM, the show "Poetry in Florbela" takes the stage at the Constantino Nery Municipal Theater, with performances by Marcantonio Del Carlo, Iolanda Laranjeiro, Alice Neto de Sousa, Jorge da Rocha, Rui Oliveira, Luísa Pinto, Cristina Bacelar, and Ana Isabel Castro. The artistic direction is by Rui Sérgio. "Integrated in the show there will be a reading of a Manifesto for Poetry by the writer Isabel Rio Novo, by Alice Neto de Sousa," says the organization.
