The Unidade Local de Saúde de Matosinhos was awarded the Best Quality Leadership Awards 2024 by the European Society for Quality Research on 30 June in Brussels.
The award recognises excellence in leadership, development and continuous evolution in the organisation's research and quality. ULSM was represented by António Taveira Gomes, chairman of the Board of Directors.
‘The credit goes to all those who have built and are building, on a daily basis, the culture that characterises us, and which is based on our values: the primordial value of life and the dignity of the person, an attitude of service, competence, efficiency, equity, accessibility, integrity, quality, responsibility, equality and non-discrimination,’ said António Taveira Gomes proudly.
In this 2024 convention, 56 institutions were distinguished, including companies and public administration organisations from 41 countries around the world, and the Matosinhos Local Health Unit was the only Portuguese institution present.
