Collective of Portuguese authors design the Matosinhos Market
The Municipal Market of Matosinhos was invaded by Urban Sketchers Portugal Norte, a collective of Portuguese authors who draw in notebooks, what they observe on a daily basis, the everyday life of people, places, spaces, buildings, objects.
The artists were challenged by the Matosinhos City Hall to develop their work based on one of the most emblematic spaces of the municipality, the Matosinhos Market.
Between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. yesterday, more than thirty artists were on site to realize this design and give wings to their creativity. A trip to the Matosinhos Municipal Market, a building with more than 70 years of history, that every day fills with people and memories and that still has a lot to tell.
The initiative was developed in partnership with Urban Sketchers Portugal Norte and is expected to hold an exhibition on site at a later date.
