PJ managed to dismantle the group by arresting two more suspects
Two men, aged between 24 and 19 years, were arrested in Matosinhos on suspicion of committing crimes of aggravated robbery, aggravated theft, offense to physical integrity and damage with violence, revealed the Judicial Police (PJ) in a statement sent this Tuesday to Notícias ao Minuto.
According to inspectors, the suspects were part of a group, whose other elements have been previously arrested by the PJ, which was engaged in theft and robbery in a place referenced for "sexual encounters" in São Mamede Infesta.
The group, now dismantled, acted, according to the PJ, with "great violence, breaking car windows and beating the victims to appropriate goods and money they had in their possession.
The authorities believe that, given the place and context where the crimes were committed, some of the victims, "out of shame", have not reported the cases.
The detainees, all male and without professional occupation, already have several police records for crimes against property and physical integrity. Both will now be presented to the competent judicial authority for first judicial questioning and application of the measures of coercion deemed appropriate.
