The concept will be presented to a national jury that will select the 5 best in the country. The winner will be awarded with a prize of 1000 Euros
The 7th edition of the "Best National PAP Competition", will take place at IPCA in Barcelos, on the 12th of October, with live streaming broadcasting through Rumos Education's Youtube channel.
The "Best National PAP Competition" aims to choose and reward each academic year, the five best Professional Aptitude Tests (PAP) from all the Professional Schools of the Rumos Education sub-holding, namely Escola Profissional de Tecnologia Digital (Escola Digital), Escola Profissional Ruiz Costa (eRC), Escola Profissional de Braga (EPB) and Escola Profissional Profitecla (Profitecla).
According to António Ruão, general director of Rumos Education "at this moment the Professional Aptitude Tests are more than just tests prepared by Professional Education students, in the final phase of training, to complete their professional course. This initiative is fundamental for students, not only to demonstrate the knowledge and skills they have acquired during their training, but also as an incentive to young entrepreneurship, in the sense that, through their projects and ideas, they have contact with the business reality and create their own business or job", he explains.
The Best National PAP" Competition - Generation +
The choice of the PAP's that will go to national competition is the responsibility of each school institution or pole (in Profitecla's case). The authors of the 14 PAP's projects that will go to the competition were informed of that participation. Afterwards, the jury will select 5 of the 14 PAP's in competition according to different criteria - Project Structure, Written Expression, Creativity/Innovation, Project Relevance, Project Viability, Final Presentation/Defence. The other four PAP's will be awarded the aboard prizes with the following categories - Creativity/Innovation Prize, Project Sustainability Prize, Presentation Prize, Jury Prize. This year there will additionally be a public award, where voting will be open to the entire audience.
The national jury that will select 5 of the 14 PAP's in competition will be formed by 5 jurors, including the winner of the 2021 Edition, partner entities and public bodies.
1000 Euros prize for the Best PAP
The author of the best PAP selected by the National Jury will be awarded with the "Rumos Education Award" of 1000 Euros. The authors of the 4 PAP's in the categories of Creativity and Innovation, Sustainability, Presentation/Communication and Jury Award will be awarded a prize of 500 Euros for each category. Honourable mentions will be given to the remaining participants.
